On Thursday, September 19th, we hosted our Dare to Thrive Annual Fundraiser, and it was truly a night to remember. More than 150 guests joined us, including community members, partners, and funders, all coming together to celebrate and support our shared vision for the future.

This year, our focus was on raising funds for AYCO’s Capital Campaign and our efforts to turn the Dream Center into a Community Resilience Hub. The Flex Building on SE 82nd Avenue, now our permanent home, is not just a space, it is a symbol of hope, belonging, and achievement for immigrant and refugee families in Portland. Having a place to truly call our own carries a meaning that only those of us who have lived the immigrant and refugee experience can fully understand.

The evening was filled with energy, connection, and joy.

Guests enjoyed a light dinner, music, and entertainment, but most importantly, they left with a deeper understanding of the impact the Dream Center will have. The support raised through this event will directly fuel tenant improvements needed to fully bring our vision to life. At this crucial time, our community continues to show its strength and resilience. The Dream Center is not only about a building, it is about creating a lasting foundation for our youth and families, a place where future generations will grow, learn, and thrive.
